Had the 08 out yesterday and shot a few rounds through her - ran like a champ! I've fired hundreds of blanks through her but don't get to live fire much. No hangups - ticked like a clock. 7.62x54r using a 1910 lock, Vickers connecting link, 08 recoil plates and Vickers steel feed block. It's becoming one of my favorite guns to shoot. That is until I take a different one out...

It does look great Dave, but it looks like you need to cut a nice shooting lane down between those trees!!!

Wait...if it's working that means the project is complete. I thought we on this forum are supposed to just work on restoring firearms, and collect parts, not finish projects. Are you telling me guns can actually be fired? Color me confused.

Very interesting combination of parts.
