Can anyone direct me to a W: site to find serial numbers and mfg date's the one's I'm finding are not complete . Also thanks SHOTS this site is geting better all the time!!
Also, you might try www.oldguns.net. John and Marc have a search engine on their website that gives this info for 1903's and a variety of other US military long arms. I've used it to check receiver/barrel dates when someone I haven't dealt with before is offering to sell a USGI rifle to me.
Thanks guy's just got it Tuesday didn't steal it & didn't pay to much either , it's a high number but at least the barrel matches and it don't look buggered up .
