What would be the essential spare parts for a 1919 I need to keep on hand, I just got one and am looking for any high breakage parts to keep in a stash for future use.
Here's what I keep for mine. I hope the pros can comment on my list and let me know if there is anything I should add.
1. spare barrel
2. firing pin assembly complete
3. extractor assembly complete
4. spare top cover assembly complete
5. Recoil spring assembly complete
6. A few extractor springs (it's the leaf spring in the top cover)
If you have the cash, buy a complete parts kit since they are still relative cheap. If you shoot 8mm, buy another top cover since you will probably blow it up.
Hopefully parts will be available for a long time to come!
Another Spare Part to keep on hand is the Accelerator. They do break once in a while. If you buy the FA Accelerator, and you have a Dremel tool, you can make the modifications easily if the original breaks,
How about a spare sear? I have not been here all that long but I remember some guys breaking sears. That would end your day of shooting not having a spare.
