1919 Trigger Question?

2521 Views 7 Replies 7 Participants Last post by  GUNNER 50
Ok so now I have my 1919 working like it supposed to as far as the action is concerned. I would really like to know if there is anything I can do about my trigger pull. I understand the trigger pull will be stiff but right now it is almost uncomfortable to pull and it requires two fingers. I have tried a lighter spring and there was really no difference in the pull. If anyone has any info I would greatly appreciate it.

Backplate slop

When I got my 1919 I had the same problem with the back plate moving up and down...When it would move down it would keep the trigger from tripping the sear , making the trigger next to imposable to work...I shimmed up the plate with some small rubber pieces and the trigger works great now...Some guys cut more clearance at the trigger slot to fix this, but I like mine shimmed because it takes away the up and down slop.
