hmm, interesting. would be curious to see it up close and look at the inerds. As far as being plastic goes, i have a walther g22 which is plastic outside, but has metal where it counts so i wouldnt be too quick to write it off - always worth a closer look bud.

Hmmmm if it accepts 10-22 mags than i could even get one here in the PRNJ.. Keep us posted pleaseA good point, da innards. Nobody quite knows yet FER SHUR, but the leading commentary is that the innards are propriatory, and standard HK parts do NOT fit.. which to me means no sear which screams no joy.
On the other hand, Bailey is coming out with a STEEL MP5 22lr only which he says will be modded to accept 10-22 Ruger style mags. It will also use all the HK internals which means the sear has yet another home.
The big problem with the HK 22 conversions was always the inferior magazine the Krauts had to cobble up to fit the MP5. Both Oberndorf and Fleming couldn't get around that problem without changing the gun somewhat. If he can get the mag well to accept the 10-22 mag, there goes the main problem. He was talking about using the 40 cal receiver for this and a retail of $600.
We will see.
