I have a orf semi 1919 in 308 I just purchased a 30 06 barrel and booster from bmg in the pics on how to change calibers it says you have to break off the right rear cartridge stop after I take it off is there no going back to 308 or can you thread the reciever and maybe screw it on any info would be appreciated.

You want to remove the rear feed guide and front cartridge stop. The retaining pin holds the rear feed guide, belt holding pawl, and farward cartridge stop. You can remove them by pulling this pin to the rear. Sometimes as the tutorial says the rear feed guide will be welded in. Mine was not as with probably quite a few others.

The tutorial says nothing about the right rear cartridge stop. That is riveted in and should be ok to use with 30.06. You however will need the front right 30.06 stop installed.

These are the minimum amount of modifications to the feedway area to run 30.06.
