Yep, I've got to decide on which way to go with it. Biggest thing for me is not to overthink it, lol.
Greybeard forums don't even want to deal with something like this, but I think sleeving and epoxying a properly sized and capped DOM tube into the existing tube, and then doing a fuse hole or similar might be the way to go, or possibly a percussion cap system.
I've seen the video where someone is using the light and drop technique.....and I can foresee some issues that might eventually happen......
