If you don't mind Wolf, try Cabellas. It's usually on backorder but it is only $135.00 per 1000 and you get two dry boxes w/it. Going there usually works better.

7.62x39 ammo

It appears that the 7.62X39 ammo has become harder and harder to find.. How i went about getting some is got a friend to pick me up some at the gun shows since he sells things at them.. To me i think your best bet will be that one first or try some of the other sites listed to try that i know of is cabelas, sportsmansguide, cheaperthandirt, Centerfiresystems.com, all is usually on backorder but there are some more options

I could not find the $135 cases on Cabela's site. Sportsman's Guide has the best price, however it is on backorder until late september. I would like to find a fairly reasonable place that has it instock for around $130-160 delivered.

What happend to cheap ammo

Did I fall a sleep?, I bought ammo less than a year ago, I paid $89-$99

for every thousand, does any one know why the prices are high and the

reason for the shortage? Is Wolf selling all of it to Iraq?

Yes, Iraq bought up all of the 7.62 x 39 that it could. Made it real hard to find a few months ago, now there is a little at of course a higher price.

Hugo is in bed with the Chinese. He is getting the machinery from them to roll his own.

Can't wait for him to start making his own, I read in another forum where the ruski's just delivered 30 million rnds to him.

not even close to be being correct.........hugo is getting the machinary and the licence to produce his own AKs from mother russia......he is also buying some fighter jets, and helicopters from them as well.........

I have been assured that the shortage is only temporary. America is to big a market to ignore. its a good reason to stock up if you do run across any, considering the threat of more war.

I heard that the new government of Iraq bought 40 million rounds. That pretty much dried up the market. J&G is advertising Wolf for $159 - 1000. Don't know if they are on back order as they were a while back. Time to take another look at the loading bench. J&G 1-928-445-9650

glad I bought several k of the ruski steel core
and stripper clips when it was cheap.

This is what I've heard.... Prices are supposed to drop in the next 6-8 months (when production meets demand), but who knows?

I just got some 7.62x39,,,,it took some time to find it in stock,,,paid alittle more than I should have but I have some in case the sh-t hits the fan and cant find any more,,,Same with 223 ammo,, Im just gonna sit on it till supply gets better,,,Happy hunting!!!

I hope some 74 ammo becomes available too. Last stuff i saw was $200/case.
