I was going through the garage again today, and came across a box with a complete 80mm mortar mold. These are hardened steel, weigh a ton, and were used, I suppose, to manufacture 80mm mortar rounds. I don't have a clue what they are worth, and I would be happy to take pics if someone would like. They are NOS, I removed the cosmoline from one just to see what it looked like clean, the rest still have the cosmoline on them.

Any interest?

mortar molds

What rounds are these molds for? I would like to see a picture if you could post one, if you have the set up for doing resin rounds you could probably make some money, it would be a lot easier the turning them out of bowling pins like I have been doing. Thanks

ok, lets see how it goes...these are pics from my cell phone cam:

there is a lot of cosmoline on the other plates. If someone is seriously interested, I will dig it off and look for numbers.

molds

Can you tell which piece of the motor round these molds were made for? I can't quite figure it out, it would help if you had a tape measure in the picture to give some reference. How many pieces are there to each mold? Any idea what the complete mold weighs? Very interested!

threads?

are there any inserts that go down the middle to leave the cavity and threads for the fuze?....perhaps lay them out on a table in all parts needed for one complete round.

quite interested as well....may make a great paper weight business! :)
