Howdy -

Just built the most fun AK project ever. It's a 9mm Drum-fed pistol, that uses Suomi Drums.

So, pretty much the only Suomi parts are the drum and barrel?

And any similar barrel can be used? Like a Sten barrel?

NO Suomi parts were used in the pistol build above - fellow in UT has started fabricating the magwells, and is also selling some of the sleeves

I used a Sten barrel on my pistol. Planning a 16" carbine next, if I can find an Uzi barrel -

If you are mechanically inclined, maybe you could build a Kali-legal carbine version. No pistol grip, 10rd mag (non-detachable?). Are Siaga's legal in Kalifornication?

Or just buy a chunk of desert in Nevada and keep the "good stuff" at your weekend home

I built a FN fal fixed mag its fine when I move or the law changes I just take a few hours and she's back to normal again... Nah we can't get saigas my buddie really wanted one of there AK shotguns....

Well here I finally got some handguards made - vents are over-sized but they're solid - Oct KCR will get some more unfinished $5 furniture sets



Here you can get a magwell, and not even need a Suomi kit - just a 9mm barrel and a couple sleeves

I thinking a SBR Krinkov-style with an underfolder stock. It will probably start off as a pistol, though.

I will need a bored out krink flash hider...

Where did you get your Sten barrel? I still would like to build my Suomi as a Suomi carbine. That way it can share drums with my 2xtm krink!
