Just attached my bipod to the jacket and find the fit to be loose as a goose. The spring loaded plunger goes into the hole and locks itself but how much motion is normal? What about the Allen heads, leave them loose enough to rotate or cant the rifle? Many thax.:confused:Overbore

My .02

My Izzy bipod is also loose, but I think its supposed to be. The Izzy advantage over the US is that the weapon can be trained left and right slightly and canted without picking up the feet and moving the weapon. Not to mention that the bipod can me moved fore and aft on the jacket to suit the situation.

The US bipod looks like it has BAR legs which telescope, but left and right movement is restricted unless you move the whole weapon.

Absolutely correct. The same legs were used for the A6 as the BAR, including the reversing of the telescoping segments, post war.
