Yesterday, the brass at ABC News issued orders forbidding reporters to wear lapel pin American flags or other patriotic insignia. Their reasoning was that ABC should remain neutral about "causes".

Since when is support for preventing our death & destruction some sort of a "cause"?

Since when is patriotism to be discouraged.

I urge you to boycott ABC and its sponsors and affiliates.

We're slowly losing everything our country stands for, and everything our men and women fought and died to preserve.

Please forward this to as many as you can.

If I am remembering this correctly, several years ago Mike Wallace was asked during an interview, if he knew there was to be an attack on Americans would he tell the authorities or sit on it. He said that getting the story was more important than saving lives.
If I have this wrong please correct me.

ABC??? Are they still on the air? I wouldn't know; haven't watched them in at least 10 years. Oh well, shouldn't be too hard to live with THAT boycott.

patriotism, is in your heart, and your action.........not on if you wear a stupid little pin, if you don't know that, then you are clueless

Im not sure how to take that..... Its not the fact that they dont wear one so much as the fact that they have been told they are not allowed to wear one

u saying that reminds me of a conversation i had with a freind who has been taken in by the Obamanation.. he was tryin to stick up for Obama for when he didnt put his hand on his heart during the national anthem.. he just kept sayin, you dont have to unless its the pledge of allegiance its not a big deal... so finally I asked him, do you put your hand on your heart when they play the national anthem at a Baseball game?? He said yes

why? becuase he doesn't "pray" to some "supernatural" myth.........or is it because he does not place his hand over his heart?

for a civilian, standing for the playing of the national anthem, is in itself a show respect, and acknowledgement. as for "praying" that is a purely religious personal choice, if they don't subscribe to the belief of some "supernatual being", then what business is it of anyone else? it certainly does not make them any less then anybody else.

Wearing flag pins, lapels, standing for the anthem, putting your hand over your heart, imo are signs of respect. When I stand for the anthem I am standing because I respect those who have died for our freedom, I stand because I love my country, I stand to set an example for my son.

Exactly my point, I could care less about you not praying... thats another beauty of this country, your choice of religion or lack thereof... men have died for that choice as well.... I think they should be shown some respect for it

Why don't you start a petition to take down the US flag from the capital and from the white house....you know, to motivate them to be truly patriotic from the heart and in their actions....

don't be stupid......point I am making is one doesn't have to wear a pin to be patriotic, or even make one patriotic.
I agree it's not necesarry to be patriotic, however...If anyone should wear a flag pin, button or some other flag representation, it should be the leader of our country, it should be the commander in chief. He's not wearing it to say look at me, i'm patriotic. He should be wearing it to say, this is our flag, our symbol which men havedied and bled to protect and to fly high above the battle field...and I as the president, am proud to wear it. Instead, he goes out of the way to point out why he won't wear it.....he's a disgrace on so many levels. and btw, I meant my comment with sarcasm and I didn't mean to offend when I said it..If I did, I apologize.

ABC (aka the 3rd Reich) on the morning show (07-02-08) practically condemned the Texas man (as a killer with his "GUN") that killed those 2 burglars even with his attorney present and after he read them what the law says.
Gotta agree with slowfire,
its not what you wear its what is in your heart & actions. But no one should be prohibited from wearing a pin or anything that may show they respect (what the soldiers and our founding fathers have contributed to this country to make it what it is), regardless of whether they work for the 3rd Reich or not.

Being neutral, is basically playing the PC part of we don't want to offend somebody cause they don't agree with it, so what who cares this is still American soil, if someone doesn't like patriotism, they can look the other way or leave....

I remember back in HS our principle told us we are not allowed to pray in school, I actually was dumb enough to tell him try to stop me. All this coming from a guy who wrote his own get out of class excuses and signed them with a phony signature.

We are free to pray. We are free to not pray. We are free to be proud, as we are free to not be proud. Do you see a key word here? Now, here is the sticky part.......... We are free to defend freedom as we are free to ignore it's defense. I'll take point.

Some Americans back when Clinton had done his deal in Waco ,protested that by wearing the Flag of 1890 instead of the one now.
Some Vets even were involved ,not as any disrespect to America ,but to show they felt like this isn't America anymore.
The flip side of this is lots of Russians wore the Hammer and Sickle ,or Germans the swastika , but inside they didn't care for either of those Governments . My point here is that just because they wear a pin ,or say the allegiance ,inside they may be just acting .
Obama by not wearing the flag ,or saying the Allegiance along with his Preachers comments ,to his credit was showing us what he was and how he felt. So if he gets Elected it makes that even more terrifying because we knew this ,and that isn't saying a whole lot of Good as to the mentality or the condition of this Country . And that will tell us how far the Damage has truly gone , and where a large majority of Americans really are today.
Even as close as the 70s ,this Man would have never made it even into the primary's.
