It seems ATF has become an Agency of stooges bent on their own agenda.
A shoe lace ? Please ,paper clips ,rubber bands.
I guess to many of them watched Van Helsing and the full auto cross bow made them wet their paints.

Rooting for you

My thoughts and prayers are with Bill Akins, I hope he prevails. If the law is followed, he should, as he has not invented a machine gun in any form.

It's all about the law, and the law really is in his favor here.

Very well structured suit.

I just spent a long while reading the entire suit. I don't see how a competent court can review all of the exhibits attached, and side with ATF on this. It is very clear, to the point, presents a multitude of examples where ATF has ruled other devices operating on the same principle are legal, and furthermore, it challenges how ATF defines a machine gun quite well.

This may be the first chip to come off of the wall ATF has built up around it's arbitrary decisions and "opinions". A case to be watched carefully along with the DC case.

well i can see one of two things happening. 1) they rule the AA is not a machine gun or 2) they uphold the MG ruling and start looking more closely at the tac and other trigger devices that are described in J

I think the most damning evidence is the fact the approval letters in exhibit E CLEARLY state that even though the stock broke and didnt function as designed THEY UNDERSTOOD THE CONCEPT AND APPROVED IT! and AA took the extra step to write them again and ask for a clearer definition of what they said, and again they said they understood the concept and function of said device and approved it as not a MG even though the sample sent broke in testing.

Thats a toughy to get around.

Either way, good luck bill - sock it to em

I think its important to note that it will not be ATF making any ruling or decision on this now, it will be a federal judge and court deciding if ATF overstepped it's authority. I think at the least, if the court finds the ATF overstepped, that at least all Akins Accelerators which are already on the market would have to be allowed as they were made, marketed and sold under the umbrella of ATF declaring them legal and not MG's.

I think you should start a legal defense fund. A bunch of us would donate!
I would wager this to be true.

Maybe even some the trolls who constantly bashed him for not fighting the government on thier behalf because they were too scared, too cheap, or both.... NOT! They'll be hiding under a bridge.
