Just got a catalog from them with surplus "deals". When I looked at some of the ammo there was a notation that said that it couldn't be shipped to Ohio. Is this just the assholes at SG or has ohio passed something monumentally stupid, again?

first i heard of that, I think they are just stupid. i would like to call them to find out why myself, I haven't bought anything from them in a few years now. after some of the experiences from people on here, i just decided against it. Plus if I need ammo, SOG is about 10 miles away. It would be interesting to see why they wont ship us any though.

I quit doing business with them after the great AK Mag buy got cancelled. After all, they are a French owned company
I live about 10 minutes from their warehouse, so I usually head over there every other week to see if I can find any deals. I have heard they are a pain in the neck to deal with, I have had a few issues a few times. But the floor manager has always straightened it out. They are pretty much the only place I can go locally to find AK mags and surplus goods. One thing I do know about them...their website isn't current with their stock. Call and talk to them before you order from their website, make sure they have what you want.

There's LOTS of things they won't sell to california (which are perfectly legal). AR parts, AK parts, M1 Garand parts, .50 BMG ammo, etc etc.
Calling them does no good...

you actually believe that SG has ammo in stock? if you are looking for garbage hammocks and other worthless flea market **** that nobody else wants, then yes they have that junk in stock.........but ammo? don't make me laugh.

We buy ammo from them all the time, 762-39, 308, 9MM, 45ACP and never had a problem. Most of the time their prices are the cheapest and if you buy $100 worth they give you a discount on the next order. Orders have always arrived in three or four days. But I did not know they were a french company that sucks.

They have lots of junk sure... If you know what you're looking at there are quite a lot of great items at low or decent prices!
Surplus shirts, boots, various items for kits or impressions, etc etc

I have bought ammo from them in the past & recently and have always recieved it.....
The only time I remember them not having ammo in stock(in bulk), was a few years back when they had the 7.62x39 scare. You could always find some smaller bulk packs on the shelves, but they couldn't keep any 500-1000 packs around. They were being back ordered faster than coming into stock.

Actually, I've bought 1000s of rounds from them very reasonably. I am rarely backordered, and then for only a month or so. They DO follow through.
