Wether you like Ann Coulter or not Ya gotta give her credit for speaking her mind. I thought this column pretty well sums it up.

THE BEST MAN TURNED OUT TO BE A WOMAN
September 3, 2008

John McCain's choice of Sarah Palin, governor of Alaska, as his running mate finally gave Republicans a reason to vote for him -- a reason, that is, other than B. Hussein Obama.

The media are hopping mad about McCain's vice presidential selection, but they're really furious over at MSNBC. After drawing "Keith + Obama" hearts on their denim notebooks, Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews stayed up all night last Thursday, writing jokes about Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, the presumed vice presidential pick. Now they can't use any of them.

So the media are taking it out on our brave Sarah and her 17-year-old daughter.

They claimed Palin was chosen only because she's a woman. In fact, Palin was chosen because she's pro-life, pro-gun, pro-drilling and pro-tax cuts. She's fought both Republicans and Democrats on public corruption and does not have hair plugs like some other vice presidential candidate I could mention. In other words, she's a "Republican."

As a right-winger, Palin will appeal to the narrow 59 percent of Americans who voted for another former small-market sportscaster: Ronald Reagan. Our motto: Sarah Palin is only a heartbeat away!

If you're going to say Palin was chosen because she's a woman, you're going to have to demonstrate that the runners-up were more qualified. Gov. Tim Pawlenty seems like a terrific fellow and fine governor, but he is not obviously more qualified than Palin.

As for former governor of Pennsylvania Tom Ridge and Democratic Sen. Joe Lieberman, the other also-rans, I can think of at least 40 million unborn reasons she's better than either of them.

Within the first few hours after Palin's name was announced, McCain raised $4 million in campaign donations online, reaching $10 million within the next two days. Which shortlist vice presidential pick could have beaten that?

The media hysterically denounced Palin as "inexperienced." But then people started to notice that she has more executive experience than B. Hussein Obama -- the guy at the top of the Democrats' ticket.

They tried to create a "Troopergate" for Palin, indignantly demanding to know why she wanted to get her ex-brother-in-law removed as a state trooper. Again, public corruption is not a good issue for someone like Obama, Chicago pol and noted friend of Syrian National/convicted felon Antonin Rezko.

For the cherry on top, then we found out Palin's ex-brother-in-law had Tasered his own 10-year-old stepson. Defend that, Democrats.

The bien-pensant criticized Palin, saying it's irresponsible for a woman with five children to run for vice president. Liberals' new talking point: Sarah Palin: Only five abortions away from the presidency.

They claimed her newborn wasn't her child, but the child of her 17-year-old daughter. That turned out to be a lie.

Then they attacked her daughter, who actually is pregnant now, for being unmarried. When liberals start acting like they're opposed to pre-marital sex and mothers having careers, you know McCain's vice presidential choice has knocked them back on their heels.

But at least liberal reporters had finally found someone their own size to pick on: a 17-year-old girl.

Speaking of Democrats with newborn children, the media weren't particularly concerned about John Edwards running for president despite his having a mistress with a newborn child.

While the difficult circumstances of Palin's pregnant daughter are being covered like a terrorist attack on the nation, with leering accounts of the 18-year-old father, the media remain resolutely uninterested in the parentage of Edwards' mistress's love child. Except, that is, the hardworking reporters at the National Enquirer, who say Edwards is the father.

As this goes to press, the latest media-invented scandal about Palin is that McCain didn't know her well before choosing her as his running mate. He knew her well enough, though admittedly, not as well as Obama knows William Ayers.

John F. Kennedy, who was -- from what the media tell me -- America's most beloved president, detested his vice president, Lyndon Johnson.

Until Clinton interviewed Al Gore one time before choosing him as his vice presidential candidate, he had met Gore only one other time: when Gore was running for president in 1988 and flew to Little Rock seeking Clinton's endorsement. Clinton turned him down.

To this day, there's no proof that Bill Clinton ever met one-on-one with his CIA director, James Woolsey, other than a brief chat after midnight the night before Woolsey's nomination was announced.

Barring some all-new, trivial and probably false story about Palin -- her former hairdresser got a parking ticket in 1978! -- the media apparently intend to keep being hysterical about McCain's alleged failure to "vet" Palin properly. The problem with this argument is that it presupposes that everyone is asking: "HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?"

No one's saying that.

Attacks on McCain's "vetting" process require the media to keep claiming that Palin has a lot of problems. But she doesn't have any problems. Remember? Those were all blind alleys.

Unfortunately, for the ordinary TV viewer hearing nonstop hysteria about nonspecific "problems," it takes a lot of effort to figure out that every attack liberals have launched against Palin turned out to be a lie.

It's as if a basketball player made the winning shot in the last three seconds of the game and liberals demand that we have a week-long discussion about whether the player should have taken that shot. WHAT IF HE MISSED?

With Palin, McCain didn't miss.

Its really starting to look like Palin /McCain now.
Look at Obama ,he is really worthless and all he has going for him is his Race ,Biden is the Liberal plant there ,in case something happens to Obama.
If that happens it will be a White gun nut you watch, and Obama will become the new JFK.
McCain has his good days and his bad days ,watch McCain tonight and you will see what i have been seeing.
McCain is getting a little senile , in the debates i am afraid Obama will kick his ass.
It is really starting to look like Palin is the only one up there qualified to be the next President.
I think a lot of people are stating to think this also.
This race is really about the two VPs , News Max is saying that no matter who became the Rep .Nominee the RNC was going to make them pick Palin.
They were saving her for 2012 ,but things were going south to fast now.
Get her out there , get her in office because she will be facing Hillary in the next election.
Palin will be the President one day ,and i think the liberals know that._
Last night she looked like the President ,McCain just looked like her trainer.

o the guys who support her ,do you ever look at her and just get the felling she will one day run this country ?
Like her or not Rory you have to admit she is going to become something one day in Washington.
Putin may be an ,,A,, hole ,put he also is not an idiot.
Being ex KGB he can gauge people usually very well.
He once said that Sarah Palin had a higher Destiny , and he told his people who had to deal with her to be very careful.
Wouldn't that be something , those two have to face off one day
Putin would not grant her any time to think things out.
It seems our Enemy's are far smarter than our Media ,or our Democrat party.

To be correct, she has exited ALL except the far left. There are Hillary supporters moving to the right in droves. Not all, but MANY. They aren't just voting McCain to get back at Obongo either. They are making the party switch because in their own words, the DNC has gone too far left, has been co-opted by the Obongo Chicago political machine, and are sick to death of him, Pelosi, Reid, Durbin, Biden, Kennedy, all the elitist snobs worshiping at the temple of Obama.

I'm the one always joking about digging up the corpse of Ronald Reagan and using VooDoo to reanimate him, as we NEED him back so bad. Last night, I honestly believe we witnessed the first politician since him who had that same... spark. And yes, I even said that out loud last night after her speech. You and Rhonda had me pretty well convienced, but last night showed my faith in your opinions was justified.

It seems our Enemy's are far smarter than our Media ,or our Democrat party.
I thought those ARE our enemies?

witht he majority of my non gun owning friends being smack in the center, or at least center left, i'm not seeing the same thing you are. on the contrary her women's rights issues have pushed a handful over to o/b. a lot of you are one issue voters for gun rights. a lot of people are one issue voters as for pro life/choice.

my grandmother is in that boat. strictly pro-life. to be fair i called her to tell her about palin right before the dayton convention. told her that she may have a candidate worthy of her support. for all of the reasons that i do not like her, these are the reasons that my grandmother does. and i filled her in on all of this. different voters, viewpoints and general side leaning are very important as a whole. i see this and am ok with it. why else would i inform grandma on a candidate about issues that i am against?

this will not be an easy election for me.

her record against government corruption is enough to make me vote that ticket and i HATE Mccain.

i loved her line last night to the news reporters that she wasnt going to washington to get there approval.

all of that speech was prepared and written by someone else. I noticed that when she came to the party line issues of her speech she almost seemed kind of nervous, or not as strong with those parts of the speech, but when it came to stuff she believed in like the fact that she could be an effective leader, or the facts about her family, or the way she changed corruption in Alaska, she was STRONG

I see change in her and its not just words printed on a yard sign waved in the air at a delegates convention

Actually.....

all of that speech was prepared and written by someone else. I noticed that when she came to the party line issues of her speech she almost seemed kind of nervous, or not as strong with those parts of the speech,

The reason she seemed to be off the mark at some points was that her teleprompter was malfunctioning. It was continuing to scroll right through the applause pauses, soon running way ahead of where she was speaking, so most of her speech she had to do from memory/spontaneously.

Not too shabby for her first speech to a national audience,(20 Million people) declared to be absolutely "Make or Break" by the Marxist Media, with no teleprompter to follow.

Can't wait to see her in the VP debates with "Ban em ALL Biden". I'm especially looking forward to seeing her tie his NUTS in a KNOT, and hand them back to him, with a smile of course!!!!!!!:D

Thanks,
Emory Jones

Halfway through Sarah Palin's speech tonight at the RNC, people following the speech noticed she was deviating from the prepared text.

According to sources close to the McCain campaign, the teleprompter continued scrolling during applause breaks. As a result, half way through the speech, the speech had scrolled significantly from where Governor Palin was in the speech. The malfunction also occurred during Rudy Giuliani's speech, explaining his significant deviations from his speech.

Unfazed, Governor Palin continued, from memory, to deliver her speech without the teleprompter cued to the appropriate point in her speech.

Contrast this to Barack Obama who, when last his teleprompter malfunctioned, was left stuttering before a crowd unable to advance his speech until the problem was resolved.

Heres Obama when he loses his teleprompter.Watch at the 12 second mark and on.Watch the difference.:D

Talk Radio is saying that it wasn't from memory ,so much as she had remembered the subject matter of what she was supposed to talk about.
They say that was Palin , after her speech she said she didn't want to use a prompter anymore.
They Distract her more than anything else.

Hey phal, about your comment last page about being able to see her running the country. You know, to me the VP selection has long been about succession and the future. I know the Beltway talking heads- even the guys I like on FNC- never got that. To them it was always the conventional nonsense about what state the pick might bring in, or just someone who will do no harm. And even when they talk about a pick who will shore up some weakness in the main candidate's resume, it was always in terms of winning the election. But we all here have been talking about Sarah as the future, not just someone to help get McCain elected. Her value in bringing many of you hold outs (and remember that I have no love for McCain either) on board is critical, but the key is that she is going to be carefully set up to succeed on the next ticket, whether it's in 4 years or 8. Thanks to you, phalanx, or many of us wouldn't have been following her and pulling for her these past few months.

Lucky i never thought she would go this far ,and surely not this fast.
Rhonda is working for the Roswell headquarters for the RNC ,she said that the rumor is that the RNC was saving Sarah for the 2012 election.
To give her more experience , They were watching her closer than they acted like they were.
Things were just getting out of hand ,and Obama would have made Gore and Kerry look like conservatives.
It was up to McCain , And he knew about Palin ,but he jumped the gun for his own sagging campaign.
Some say he didnt know what he was getting into with her ,she far out shines him even after only a week.
On talk Radio people were calling in saying this should be Palins Presidential run and not McCain's.
Did you hear or see Obama talking to ORiley !!!Damn he was pissed ,and afraid.

I dont believe that for a second, unless by excited you mean in a negative way. I think its just wishful thinking and political BS. Anyone who was a Hillary supporter and now says they will vote for Palin was never really a Hillary supporter to begin with, or perhaps they are just as dumb as a pile of shat. They two couldnt be further apart politically or ideologically. They have NOTHING in common other than female genitalia. If they just were voting for her because she is a woman, then they have the political intelligence of an idiot.

I know women who were all for the senator from New York, and now are firmly behind Sarah Palin. They ARE voting with their genitals. To them, it's a woman, ANY woman, in the White House. If I know two, how many more must be out there?
