Its official, I'm hoarding 308 and 3006 ammo! I had no interest when this conversion was hot but now I do. Is anyone selling the conversion kit? I'm assuming its just a barrel and front cartridge stop? Also (even though this has probably been gone over a thousand times) is there any bolt mods? Is there any 8MM ammo I should stay away from if I can find a barrel? If I cant find a front stop do I just grind down a 308 stop? But most important (to keep this a add post) who's selling the kits?
thanks

8mm set up

Got both mine from John McGuire.
Haven't had any problems.
Several different people offered them but he put allot of time into finding what works for all the different ammo types.
He had a few different runs of them and can probably still fix you up.

He offers a front cartridge stop and barrel.
Can't remember the price but it was worth it.

My .02 worth

8mm ammo

Don't listen to Rory.
He has all of the 8mm.

Seriously buy all you can afford then sell something and buy some more.
Most of the stuff your going to find will be Turk, Yugo, Chech, or Romanian.
Romainian is probably the best of them but will be the most expensive.
Yugo and Turk will be what you find the most of. Make sure you check all of it by hand when linking or loading your belts. Check for loose projo's and split cases.
If you find Yugo you might want to add a firing pin spacer to help with deep set primers.
