I was curious if anyone has any firsthand experience with the 7.62x39 1919 conversion that Troy at barrel Xchange has for sale?
Looking at the current price of ammo, what I have stocked up, and the amount I am considering buying, using 7.62x39 in lieu of 30-06 would pretty much pay for the conversion and still save some money.
Yeah, I know the gun won't have the 'oomph' of 30-06, but I seriously doubt most of the junk in the pit I am shooting at would know the difference.
