Does anyone have a good source for complete parts sets less lower aside from model 1 sales? I'm sure a few of us who got in on the reciever group buy would need these. I emailed model 1 sales explaining I was an LEO, and had several lowers I needed to complete into rifles for my fellow LEO's, and if they offered a law enforcement discount. I promptly recieved a reply that NO, they don't. I guess the next question about a group buy from them it would be the same response. :( If anyone knows of another company that might be interested in selling parts sets that may give us a discount (another group buy??) please post it, and lets see what we can do.
I know of at least of 100 lowers that need finishing.. ;)

I dont know about any kind of discount, but J&T distributing has done me very well. I have been using their parts for several years now and have never had a problem. Gary and Dennis are great guys to deal with. It might be worth a try.

I like Model 1 Sales. I've ordered several kits and uppers from them, and have been happy with all of my orders. They are also one of the few companies that will still ship something COD, and they usually throw in a little something extra with your order. ;)

whatever you do, Do not by from blackthorn,Vulcan arms, hesse arms, akparts.com or whatever they are called these days. They have crooked barrels out of spec. bolts. Poor attitude and no customer service. not to mention outrageous shipping fees. When I said I didn't have a barrel nut wrench. They told me to fix my overtorked barrel with a pipe wrench with no mention of removing the gas tube first. I'm glad I'm mechanically inclined.

ciener conversion

If you find a Ciener .22lr conversion for the M16 please let us know how it works. I was going to buy one myself but have heard very mixed reviews. Sorry, not trying to hijack this thread.

You guys better hurry and get these ordered if you really want a quality part and a good price

BTW the ceiner kits work well you just have to get them broken in and polish a little here and there. I personally perfer the 261 kits and the AirForce kits that operate on both gas and recoil. However the AirForce kits will only work on semi. But they are the best and the only with a bolt hold open feature built into the mag.

at maparts the m4 kit is 500$ instead of the 370 from armalite. however the kit from maparts has the FCG ($50-75) pistol grip ($20) collapsible but stock buffer and buffer tube ($75)

they even have some of the 16" carbine sets at 470$

so i think that it would be cheaper to go the whole deal route rather than piecing together.

Wow you are way off on your prices.

OK

Armalite is top tier parts.
M&A are not and you will pay extra for the chrome lined barrel which is std for Armalite.

A complete LPK can be picked up pretty much anywhere for $50 including the grip. A std grip can be had for $1-$3. Custom ones normally start at $10 and go from there.

Complete M-4 stock sets start at $40
Old style Car stocks sets start at $20

Feel free to check my feedback on AR15.com and you will see I know my stuff when it comes to prices. Gotta keep in mind that one out of maybe every 5 even leave feedback.

If you guys need any help locating these items and the above prices LMK. I dont mind hooking people up from time to time.

ETA

Del-Ton is a top notch company. Great products and great customer care.

Model 1 (I am not even going to go there. Dont waste your time)

M&A (Not going there either. Check the links on ARFCOM)

Essential Arms is also top notch. However they do not sell all the required parts to complete a build.

Armalite is a Top Tier manufacturer. Not to mention the barrels are chrome lined and anywhere else you will pay an additional $50 for the option.

J&T's QC has gotten bad enough my shop will no longer order from them. Seems lately you have an option, smooth bore barrels and / or flaking finish. Some times its one some times its both. Did not used to be a problem. But lately they have gotten sloppy.

fair enough i may be off on price. it was an estimate. as far as armalite being top tier... the only ar-15 that i have purchased as a complete gun was an armalite and nothing i could do to that gun would make it consistently hit paper. it was one of the most frustrating firearms that i have ever owned. the few that i built from ma however have been great.

and after a short review the chrome lined option is about 25$

I looked all over the Armalite site and I didn't see any AR15 parts! I got a collapsable stock someplace and I am thinking of getting a CAR15 upper. Back in the day I was buying those kits from Nessard for $375, oh why didn't I buy one for later? I see old Colt Sporters for $300-400 all the time but then I would have to get a new bolt also or find an old upper reciever w/o Forward bolt assist. Gee,now its getting into money/:(

What is a good rear sight that you can place on a flat top AR part kit that will co-witness with an EO Tech 552?
