UPDATE NLC came through, LICENSE IS IN HAND!

Finally, after a ridiculous amount of tug and war with my local ATF office, the ATF agent visited the business location today, and indicated a verbal approval for my application on an 01FFL. Now just the wait to receive the actual license from the NLC...tic toc, tic toc.

I have to thank a member of our board immensly for helping me to make this happen. At present, it would NOT be possible without his and his family's assistance in the matter (more like a contribution of "space"). If he tells me it's ok, I'll name him. Otherwise, I'll keep it on the down low.

Will be performing low cost transfers in the Miami area. Members of 1919A4 in good standing who have been members at least 60 days and have at least 10 legitimate posts get free transfers, you only pay for the $5 NICS check.

Standard civillian transfers at $20 per weapon plus your $5 NICS fee.

Law enforcement, military and firefighters get very low transfers as well, $15 plus the $5 NICS fee.

Still working out the details on sales.

I'm tired of overpriced transfer fees ($45 to $65), overpriced firearms and crappy service. My initial goal is to counter all of that.

I want to publicly thank Frank71vw. Frank and his dad have been ever so gracious to "lease me" space in their shop for the astronomical rent of $1.00 per year. Their shop is zoned accordingly ATF just could not say no. Bottom line is that Frank and his dad have breathed life into this business venture, and thanks to them it may be possible to grow it, develop it and go from there.

I cannot say enough positive things about them. I had already met Frank on a little AK dabbling we did together, so I already knew I liked him. After meeting Franks dad, I can see where Frank get's his wonderful personality. Not to mention Franks wife is wonderful as well.

I in turn have been blessed to meet them, for them to have extended their generous offer to let me work from their shop, and to hopefully develop a long lasting friendship. This is exactly the kind of people that I think primarily belong to this board. These are the kind of people America needs.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you Frank and Ricardo.

Oh yeah, lifetime free transfers for you my friend.

No way, I have been raped myself a few times, and it leaves a real bad taste in your mouth. It makes you less likely to order that el neato gun from gunbroker when you start to figure the pain in the ass the dealer will be, that he will or will not want o tsend his FFL, what's he gonna charge, you, will you still be making a good deal on the purchase. None of that with me.

Lt. Santi, congratulations on your new found business lease on life! Having done a wee bit of business with you, I can honestly wish you the best in this venture. I only regret that I am not in the same state so that I could avail myself of your services, lol!

Hat's off to franks71vw and dad for doing such a kind thing to help out. That's class!

One last thing, is there anyway you could have phrased this line a little better? ;)

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

...up-grade,up-grade...!!!

Lt. Santi....Someone already mentioned this but it is important. Up-grade your class '01' license IMMEDIATLY....as soon as it arrives, send in another form asking to have the '01' changed to an '07 Manufacturer'. Only costs $150.00 for three (3) years and you can buy, sell, build and mfg. ANY kind of guns....except class 3 and DD's. I've got (2) class 07's and would not go back to having an '01',as it limits what you can do. Congrats on being 'in the business' and your standing on principle is note worthy. I also only charge $25 for a transfer in IN....and $20 if they have a license to carry. Kudo's also go to Frank and his father....they have put their own skins 'on the line' for doing this. Hope all works well for you guys.....good luck.....

FYI-On the form (4013? yellow form to us old timer's) where your buyer fills in the state and it's only enough room for the abbreviation make sure they squeeze the whole state name in there or you'll be in violation of improper record keeping and don't forget your Florida child trigger lock signs and to give locks with all pistol purchases-oh yea, your ATF guy is now your best friend and treat him that way-hugs and kisses and all, intrest free loans,Jack Daniels Single Barrel...LOL:D:D:D

I've contemplated that. The beautiful thing is that the location is perfectly suited for manufacture since it is an industrial location. The upgrade to 07 is being contemplated.

....its a beautiful thing....

Thats the beauty of the class 07 Mfg. license. You can get your SOT (Special Operations Tax) and make silencers and class three weapons. Also make DD's (Destructive Devices) which are fully trandferable. Soooo many possibilities.....

You're not building DDs w/a type 07 are you? Don't answer that! :p

Excellent news, L-T. Sometimes persistence pays. Looks like you'll have your own "live-in vulture" :D
