The listing for the Lewis gun, attributed to your collection, shows a part of a Form 1. A Form 1 ”making” in 1985 could be either a reactivation of a registered DEWAT or the remanufacture by welding of the cut receiver of an unregistered gun.
If you would please provide it, I need further information about the actual registration provenance of the gun for a customer who is interested on bidding for it. You can reply here or to: [email protected] or call Bob Naess 802-226-7204. Thanks.

my understanding is the collection has been liquidated due to his death. You should call the auctions house and discuss the paperwork with Neal.

So sorry to hear that! I didn’t personally know him, but have seen his postings on a variety of sites for quite a few years.
Well, even the best of the auction houses are often hard pressed to understand many of the details of these kinds of issues and I am not confident that this outfit will have any idea of what I am seeking. However, I’ll try.
Thaks for the information.

I live locally and do a lot of business both professionally and personally with this auction house. I can say they are a good group of people to deal with. They may not be experts to know absolutely everything there is to know on what they sell but they will do their best. Feel free to give me a call if you would like me to look at something for you. My number is 928-713-1593
