there was a little buzz about this and was more for specific like 3d print programs and equipment with exact needs only to make firearms. others took that to be anything that could be used to make a gun. last i read it was something to drum up some fear and nothign came of it.

It would be the start of a revolution...no doubt. The last time someone tried to ban, collect or restrict guns...we DID have a revolution. Never give an inch on the 2nd Amendment....period.

thats nonsense. there have been repeated restrictions in many areas and to date no revolutions in modern history. 86 and 94 are two good examples. where were you old dudes revolting back then? at 8 and 16 respectively i wasn't even legal to drive. not that i am promoting a revolution, but more calling BS on your rhetoric... again

Of course, there have been regional and city restrictions of various types on firearms. With all the liberals buying guns and trying to play catch-up,I doubt there will be many attempts to do the unthinkable...actually outlaw and collect firearms.
Apparently there is a dis-connect between local, regional and state wide prohibitions the some folks cannot focus on....and something that nationally would be the start of a country-wide call-to-arms.
A 'revolution' starts in the mind. Some folks can't distinguish between public discussion...and actually shooting.

Don't read into my discussions something you wish to denigrate on a personal level...AGAIN...!! Yes..that's what you do,Rory. Just because you are a mod...?? If there is something personal....send a PM. We all know you are a closet liberal and are just a bit too 'soft' on several issues...gay rights,social-justice,white -justice,the military, the police,etc.,etc. Maybe I should just PM you to avoid your all-consuming hatred and nit-picking.

Yeah I hate to agree with Rory, we can talk all we want about the stupid young people. However between 1933 and 1934, the beloved FDR (our first real socialist leader) confiscated the Gold and practically banned MGs, which by the real meaning of 2A, was when they came for the guns! That would be my Great Grandfathers Generation and maybe his father two are the ones that gave up the guns. I would argue 2A protects the M16 and only to a lesser extent the AR15... (assuming FA and then semi, respectively). Everyone loves the cold dead hands stuff but in reality... with the Government actively working against most traditional Americans at this point, few are willing to face the them. The few that are standing are losing everything. I never thought I would see the Columbus statue come down in Little Italy here in Baltimore... A place where Italians have policed themselves for years. However it only took one night and the cops and every Italian in the neighborhood sat back and watched it get torn down and tossed in the harbor. I would love to see people stepping up and stopping this stuff from happening but with Government actively working against you, its not an easy thing. Sure there is a breaking point... but where that is... who knows. Probably not Milling Machines... I hate to say it but until you have nothing left to lose, few are going to risk everything. I respect those that do and I pray I can be on their jury, but with three small kids... things get more complex.

haahha who says i am a closet liberal?

I have some left leaning positions, almost always around social issues. I have never hidden that here or anywhere else.

i was just poking fun/holes at your silly rhetoric. rah rah rah all the revolutions.........

Laugh now. Nobody in the 1950s would have believed what's illegal these days. The leftist solution to everything is to ban it or make it free....and guess which one guns and machinery falls under.

They've already made it almost impossible to get #10 cans to can food , now they are going to keep us from making our own flour ....where will it end ?

Well if they ban milling machines then manufacturing in the USA will be dead. Manufacturing revolves around milling machines and they can't make the software bullet proof to prevent them from making gun parts. Anybody have a jail broke phone?

Well , my church is into food storage / year supply big time for centuries and now the local canning of #10s has stopped for the last couple / three / four years . I was told the govt . had stopped stateside can production and we could not get them any more , so these have closed and machinery sent back to storage facilities . That's all I know because I was never called to man the canning operation .

I see a small section at the local kroger. but the canned vegetable area seems to get smaller every year in general. a lot of people are eating more fresh and frozen instead of canned for things other than beans /tomato

i will ask some of my contacts at Ball (the can makers) and see if any of their plants still make the #10 in the US and i would presume the answer is yes. too big and bulky to affrodbaly make overseas for us canning.

I will admit that I don't know the first thing about this.... However if you are saying that the Government is forcing smaller size cans of vegetables meaning that my I will have less to eat for each meal... this is sounding great to me! As a meat and potato type, smaller cans of green beans...etc. sounds wonderful! :)

On a more serious note, I don't see why the Government would even be involved in can production. Unless maybe they stopped buying that size and so the manufacturer stopped producing them... the whole thing does not seem to make sense.

If we want to talk on a more serious issue than can size, the last lead smelter closed a while back. So now we will have to import lead from the Chinese to make into bullets to shoot the Chinese with! Government regulations and lack of tariff control has put them out of business.

If no one has food storage , then they can step in and control the food and therefore control the people . It's about control , not cans.
