Folks I need to purchase 500 to 1000 rounds of 30-06 for the M1919a4 to keep it happy. Any suggestions on where to purchase? Last lot I purchased off of this forum but I have not seen any offers recently. Thanks Harry in Tucson

...best bet...

Anyone who wishes to keep their guns supplied with ammo:...better start reloading your own. You will never run out,as long as you can reload you empty brass. I start beginners in one-caliber for $175.00. Anyone need to explore this option,,,call me at my shop...800 380-4867,or [email protected]

UNAMMO in Phoenix has PPU new manufacture for ($349 in store) $374 shipped/500 and two flavors of Wolf steel case for ($265 in store) $289 shipped/500.

Problem with your location is that you're in-state which means you'll have to pay both shipping and sales tax unless you make a trip of it and come north to buy it directly.

Amen on reloading. I would suggest that anyone not sitting on at least tem thousand rounds of brass per caliber and components to load ten times that many will be very sorry in the not too distant future. I see that Oregon is now proposing a new law restricting mag size to FIVE rounds, and limiting ammo purchases to TWENTY rounds per month. God save us from the libtards.

Usually Howe will bring ammo to Big Sandy and run specials which is totally worth getting it from him there. Just place the order ahead of time and tell him your going to the shoot.

The Wolf 30-06 that Howie has won't work. Its to short (Unless you have a modified front cartridge stop). The .308 is ok but not the 06 stuff. Note: the PPU ammo is of the correct length

Interesting. I have heard of that same problem with the new manufactured Romy 8mm being shorter than mil spec, creating issues. At least, in 30-06 on a 1917/1919, one can get a USGI Short Round Stop and that should fix the issue.

Thank you for all of the replies. I now have over 2,000 rounds to keep the M1, BAR and 1919a6 happy. Harry
Good news, Harry. I love a happy ending!
