I'd like to purchase a blank fire adapter for the M1919A4...

What all is needed to convert the lil bugger over to blanks?
And, Where can I get these goodies? :D

So the BFA replaces the buffer, and I have to replace the cartridgestop with one for the blanks. Alrighty!

Anyone else want to comment?

No the BFA replaces the booster not the buffer. The short round stop prevents a live round from feeding (should it be accidently loaded in the belt) but also keeps the belt from shifting in the feedway or not being in alignment with the extractor.

blank fire

The hard part will be finding good blank ammo to cycle your weapon. Stay away from the Austrian blanks. They have been plentiful and inexpensive but will not cycle a 1919 at least with an issue blank adapter. The best blank ammo I have found is FN . 7.62 x 51. I have not seen any around for about a year. If anyone finds FN blanks I'd like to have some.

The good part about the guiette adapter is that is comes with an assortment of inserts plus you can make you own to match your blanks.

The FN and Radway 308 are the best I found for the money but as mgtrooper said they are getting hard to find. I also do use the Austrain. I can get them to run fine but they sound kind of whimpy. Their is always Swansons blanks, ca-ching$, but they do rock.

I am getting ready to try the 7.62x54r conversion. They are still pretty cheap.

Hang on for another day as I ordered the blank adapter that Sarco sells ...should be here Tuesday. Just don't know what to expect.

If I remember correctly they don't have the cartridge stop.

I've seen the stops selling for $17.50 so I going to keep it and as far as the1917 adapter, maybe I'll build a water cool to put behind it.

I'm a pure-ist so everything is going to be .30-06 on my M1919A4
