On the extractor, there is a small piece that rides on the side plate, guiding the extractor up to grab another round. Somehow, the little piece that rides the side plate broke off of the extractor. Is this piece the extractor ejector plunger or the pin? Could this piece before it broke, possibly worn well, cause the gun to shoot a couple rounds, then stop? Any help about what piece I need to purchase would be greatly appreciated.

Extractor assembly

The whole extractor assembly is what you are looking for, really should have an extra with you.

Each part has a drawing number including the "Plunger, extractor cam" which is what I think you are talking about, and the pin, but you could only obtain the entire assembly from supply.

Maybe someone here has an extractor assembly with other parts broken and will sell/give you the leftovers and you can repair the one you have, and keep it for a spare.

I concur with kkkriverrats. A complete extractor assembly goes for about $35 from Ohio Ordnance or Sarco. There are others like Cole Dist who might sell an extractor too, though I think they list only bolt assemblies. Dan @ Angola Armory could tell us. Even if you find the plunger, you would probably have to make the pin (I have done that) and they are a pain to stake in place. $35 is a bargain, trust me.
