Hello
I have a question; well I have all my parts and ready to put my 1919a4 together however. I am not sure on this part. Do I dimple the rivets cold or should I put some heat on the rivets as I dimple them down?
Thanks

Most people here do them cold with either a BFH, a press or a rivet gun depending on the builder. A few of us use all three depending on the application.:)

I did my first 1919 cold with the air tool and the last build the 50 we did with heat and ball peen hammer. I liked the final results on the 50 over the 1919. we got nice domed rivets and when they cool they contract pulling the plates closer..

I thought "bucking" the rivets was what was used to support the backside of the rivets while the topside is formed; i.e. as in a "bucking bar"? Guess I got it all Bucked-up bass-ackwards?
