Page 6 of the Military Trader magazine has a nice article on Governor Schwarzenegger's Austrian Tank. He got it from the Austrian government and had it shipped to Florida, Then to Columbus Ohio shopping mall in 1999 when he opened a Planet Hollywood there. He then loaned it to the museum in Groveport in 2000.

He is now getting it back to se that it is properly cared for. So it was removed from the museum Feb. 19th and moved by truck to California.

It is an American-made tank M47. I am wondering, "does it have a 50 cal on it anywhere" Wouldn't it be absolutley against California law that he signed into legislation to recieve a 50 cal of any type into the state of California?

Yes it would be. Unless of course, he paid the $20 and registered it.

Regaurdless, signing such a bill into law is the act of a traitor.

My guess would be that it would receive some type of exemption since it would be going to a museum and not really into private hands...

It most likely has been demilled as a bond would have been posted during importation to insure it's being demilled either abroad or here.
I didn't read the article mentioned so I can't say for sure. If it is an M47 it would be rather unique as the M48 replaced it almost immediately.
Armament would include 90mm main tube,7.62mm coaxial mg and 12.7mm mg on commanders cupola.
Just a note on Ahnold: when he got his HMMV and brought it to an Island south of Cape Cod he had a very hard time finding parking spaces in town due to narrow New England style streets and even got a few tickets for parking 1/2 on the sidewalks. Just another rich Hollywierd show off dumb ass in my book.
It used to me a nice place where famous folks kept a low profile and tried to do their best to be good neighbors. And did I mention keep a low profile?
If it's called tourist season why can't we shoot them?
