California FFL holders (other than Type 03 or 06) must enroll in the California Firearms Licensee Check (CFLC) Program to ship firearms to another California FFL.
WTF is the sense behidn that? a type 1 ffl needs a authorization number to ship a gun to another type 1 ffl? huh? please God keep me off whatever the politicians there are slamming into their veins because it has obviously made them retarded.

and this will curb crime how? im guessing its for the children

I should be ashamed that hippies, illegal aliens, and communists are voting in scummy socialist politicans?

I don't get it. I spend so much time fighting these laws, and calling my representatives!

i was doing the same when i was there AH, but im sure the person (probably a friggen intern for all i know) that was listening to my rant would forget what i said as soon as we hung up the phone. And if you ever get a chance to actually speak to the reps they give BS lines they probably read on the brady site and dont wanna listen - especially about gun laws. Boxer had the nerve to say how many firearms are out there that i could own, and wanted to shy away from the assault weapons argument - i wonder if she even knows what a flash hider is? either way, the only way to help is to get them bitches out of office, because there aint no reasoning with them on gun laws or illegal immigration, ive tried and gotten one BS line after another. Lord only knows how the hell they keep getting re-elected.

Name recognition or voter fraud. That's the only two possibilities.

I was at my freinds house the other day and we somehow got on the topic of earthquakes, and during the course of the convo california was brought up, his 5 yr old daughter asked why california has so many earthquakes and we dont... withouth skipping a beat my buddy said, honey its cuz god hates california... maybe u had to be there but I was laughing pretty good... I think John McClaine put it best in die hard 1 when the guy walked up and kissed him on the face "Fuggin California"

Some say this was backed by the bigger dealers/stores in the state to limit internet gun sales from out of state dealers. For example, Pvt. parties sending to FFLs are not part of this. Also there are a bunch of exemptions for the FFLs that only deal directly from Mfg, wholesale houses, ect.. So otherwords, store front shops that only buy new guns from wholesalers are unhindered by this. On the otherhand the small dealer that does a lot of internet transfers for their clients take it in the shorts on the additional paperwork trail and making sure the shipping dealer complies with the laws. Just a royal pain in the behind and yet one more reason to discourage home base FFLs.

As for the comment about every gun transaction needing DOJ approval, well that has always been the case. Up 'till now it just has been on the receiving dealer/buyers end. But while that approval is still there, they are also doing it on the front end.

wtf? you people in California should be ashamed

unbelieveable how they can get away with this ****

if you want to know what i'm talking about go to www.ag.ca.gov/firearms
Please don't blame us. It's not my fault the politicians I vote for don't win. It is also not my fault that when I send letter upon letter, and leave message upon message to my representatives, they go ahead and vote the opposite of what I tell them.

Blaming us CA gun owners for our asinine laws is the same as blaming EVERYONE in America for the Federal AW ban back in '94. You certainly had NOTHING to do with it's passage as us gun owners in CA have nothing to do with the passage of our dumb laws. Our state is just too big and full of dirty hippies.

I didnt think it was legal for them to restrict an FFL to FFL transaction. Lex Luthor was right on when he wanted to sink Cali into the ocean and just recreate the coast...

Well said and its good to see a friendly face here. What most out of CA don't understand is that the market has opened up in a big way over last couple of years, my credit statements can testify to that. What I don't get is the outright refusal to do any more business here in CA, we gunners are a fractured enough group, the anti's know this and play that card to their advantage quite well. As stupid as these laws are, in some ways we are gaining strength, this combined with events at the federal level are sure to make things interesting enough to warrant sticking around awhile longer. I've got a great job, love everything that the land here has to offer (land, not people) and will stick it out til the bitter end.

Another thought for those of you that would quit so easily.... come November, state of residence may not matter much any longer.... just something to think about. But go ahead and toss in the towel... am reminded of several statements through history that would apply here.

But I will also admit, as I am not a dealer, I know little of how this impacts you at your end, cost wise. From what I have seen, the approval for shipment is internet based and real time, but I agree any registration sucks, what are the fee's our esteemed leaders are requiring of you as part of thinking of the children?

Too bad too... I gotta long list of needs before year's end.

no offense intended to the dozen or so of you sane people left out there.

not my intent. i'm sure you guys think it sucks worse than we do
No worries. Sorry if my post came off a little harsh. I'm just trying to remind people that Californians on firearm message boards are not the enemy. We're in the same sinking boat as everyone else, we just happen to sit in the part of the boat already underwater. We firearms owners in CA are the minority, and any retarded gun bill that passes into law is not because WE voted on it, but because our libtard representatives did. Our Republicrat Governator is no help either.

Snobordr, thanks for the tripod! Still working on putting together the parts to finish the 1919. You going to the Shoot-N-Que at Chabot on the 5th?
