What do yal thank is the best for quality for the money?
What are the cheapskates doing to coat?

the cheap ones just paint them. rattle can and done. Cerrakote is not cheap- generally costs more than a decent parkerizing.

I have a few ceracoated AK's, and I have to say it is both a good looking AND hard wearing finish.
The latest formulations are acid resistant!
It isn't "cheap" unless you apply it yourself, and just pay for the paint and not the time.

If you’re going to build a gun that is effectively a classic military arm and it’s worth $2500 plus, it makes sense to give it the original parkerized finish.

I have done 3 1919's now,and since I don't have anyone close by that can do the parking I have always sandblasted everything when I was done and used Birchwood Casey cold blue,it take a couple of coats to get it dark enough to match the original parts that I didn't refinish,but it looks good and it's been 10 years since I did the first one and it still looks good.That is about a cheap as you can get!
