Sorry for the dumb question, I already searched but could find nothing on the forum...

What is the 'minimum' critical spare parts you would stock for the semi 1919A4? My guess would be at a minimum a spare firing pin, driving spring, and ???

What are the high breakage parts?

My budget is limited at the moment, but I would like to have a few of the bare minimum things.

Also, is the M6 combo wrench handy to have, and is there a diagram of what all the functions of it are? Any other hand tools? (I know the barrel headspace wrench that one guy sells for $12.50 is a good one). A broken shell extractor another good tool?

Spart parts

I imagine there are differing opinions onwhat one should carry for spares. Here's what I carry.

Complete extractor assembly, driving spring and rod, complete firing pin and spring, two top cover extractor springs, two sear springs, belt feed lever, belt feed slide and spring, extra front and rear sight, spare barrel in cover and complete barrel extension, barrel jacket screw, two barrel locking springs, trunion protector, extra booster/bearing, most of the time I use a M6 flash hider/booster.

Numrich had M13 canvas spare parts/tool rolls very handy to put spare parts in.

For tools, a Mk IV ruptured cartridge extractor, booster plug wrench, M6 combo wrench, wooden handled screw driver with 8 inch shaft blade fits through driving spring rod hole in back plate, barrel adjusting spanner wrench, 5/16 combination wrench and allen wrench (needed for OOW trigger adjustment) 3/16 pin punch, head space/timing gauge, and firing pin protrusion gauge. Some of the stuff I bought just to fill upthe M13 parts roll, and after a while you just end up with more stuff.

I have been shooting the 1919 for almost two years, and have never broken anything.

Both Sarco and Numrich (e-gun parts) have "Spare parts sets" that contain most of the critical parts at a slight savings Sarco's has more stuff and it costs more..

Hmm...I am not seeing the M13 parts roll on Numerich...would you be so kind as to provide a link? :)

I do see the listing for the bearing wrench (a socket for a socket wrench, right?) and the ruptured csae extractor. Cool.

The bearing wrench (socket) has wrench flats on the back side with a hole in it. Put a wrench on it or a rod thru the hole. My M6 combo wrench has an oblong hole that matches the wrench flat/hole part but is a little too small to slide onto the bearing wrench..

M13 canvas spare parts roll had a Numrich stock number of 725910 was $5.10 in catalog #26 call order desk, they might have too few left to list. Mine was brand new 1943 Kilbourne MFG.

Somewhere there is a diagram in some field manual showing what goes in what pocket. The M13 was used to store spare parts for other weapons besides the 1919.
