S-A-R-C-O inc yup sorry but Thumbs down for me. Since I like big pics i will only post the links here and not the pictures to help you 56ker... Anyways, so reading up on the AR thread I thought to give SARCO and getting an AR150 kit. So I called them up on Friday and talked to Justin to see if they could ship out on that same day and he replied yeah no problem. I talked to the order lady and she took my order and asked me if id like the kit to go UPS or USPS priority so I told her USPS priority anyways I get my kit today and the cost of shipping via USPS is 14.34 Yet I was charged 23.25 wow Amazing I think... So anyways, I start getting the parts out and find out that I have no Fire Control Group, No buffer spring detent plunger/spring,the washer that goes behind the USED bird cage flash suppressorrrrrrrr, yup used not even surplus etc, The pistol grip I got looked liked it was dremeled to hell/scratched up to hell and didnt bring the screw and washer for the receiver. Furthermore, the collapsable stock was made in taiwan :( and feels really cheap. The handgaurds look like used ones however upon setting up the C clip spring and Dring the handgaurds dont fit notice the pictures on how long they are and the D ring doesnt seem to capture the guards. trust me I tried doing it with two people etc and I would keep maxing out the ring and still needed like an 1/8" to fit the guards :( and yes I think its 100% put together right so anyways, I dont have much time to elaborate on this as I am really pissed of and have to go to work but later on tonight after 0001 I will be on. What pisses me off is that they dont tell you they are using used beat to hell crap and for the price of the kit I could get somethign alot better. I will be calling tomorrow and want my money back including the 10 bucks they over charged me if not I will put in a claim with my CC company...

I'd try to talk to Dave the MG guy he may be able to get things straightened out he has been there for a long time. I don't know justin, or how long he's been there, I have been in their warehouse years ago, let's just say some things is organized and some things is not! one of the things I always get a kick out of is when you see their add for Thompson receiver stubs (front & back) like they just found a few......... there were huge bins of them! Its all in the advertising...............

Advise from everyone was go with LRB.
The M14SA came in today ,after i bragged on them.
The Gun looks OK ,Stock is fine ,Metal looks 90%.
The real problem is the butt plate:mad:
Guys no kidding ,this thing looks like it has been issued 100+ times ,VERY BAD.
Only about 20% finish left on it ,and after $2,200.00 ?
OK it is aluminum ,but a can of Krylon high heat flat black in an oven works great.
You pull this wonder gun out of the box in a gun store and the first thing people see is THAT.
A little cold blue wouldn't hurt the sling swivels either:mad:
I guess you just cant buy a good M1A anymore.
P.S. I am so sick of having to Fix,repair ,modify, send back ,Buy replacement parts for ,Every Damn M1A i ever get.
I have AKs that looked better and worked better than this crap.

SorryCO

I had a friend warn me that he got nothing but crap from sarco but a couple years ago they had the 1919 kits for sale and thier prices were the cheapest, so I broke down and bought one, it took three months to get it and when it finally arrived it was missing a whole bunch of small pieces, plus they claimed they were all USGI parts and the rear site was marked in hebrew markings, they finally got all the missing pieces but I will never use the again.

You're misinformed. ALL the 1919's we sent to Israel were USGI parts. They still are. The ***** just put their marks on'em here and there, probably on the pieces they modified. They never made 1919's in Izzyland. Just converted our USGI stuff to 308 NATO and marked them as such.

I bought 4 kits from Sarco at the Creek. I too was missing some small parts... until I really took a good look and realize some of the parts I expected to be rolling around loose were still assembled. Everything was in all the kits. You're not gonna buy from them anymore? More for me... thanks.

To hell with SARCO

Well I called them up and told them i was disappointed with the parts they sent me. they told me the the additional 10 dollars was to process the order the same day. WoW these guys must be such a huge company that they have to pay an employee 10 bucks to ship out a parts kit the same day. Gees, maybe I should do that to my customers and make more money.... na that would only piss them off kinda like I am now on hold for the last 10 min trying to get a rep to accept my return. In my book SARCO BLOWS...

Letter faxed to SARCO...

Attn To: ANYONE IN SARCO/ Justin.

I do not appreciate being put on hold for 15+ minutes or so to return an AR150 parts kit that I received with used parts, and to top it off with missing parts. Furthermore, your phone system only exacerbates this situation in trying to communicate with you. I will be sending this kit and posting on Forum boards accordingly about this transaction and your company. At your convenience please give me a call. I will be sending the kit back with or without RMA # whether your company requires it. My time and money are obviously more important to me then you. Remember, “...There is less to fear from outside competition then from inside inefficiency, discourtesy, and bad service..... I have yet to still talk to someone their

I can't say much about Sarco. The one transaction I had with them went well enough in that I got what I asked and paid for. I know there have been a lot of problems with them in the last few years though.

On the other hand, OOW has been nothing but SUPERB to deal with...

Sarco

I have ordered from them 4 times, just placed the 4th, stuff was what I expected, my only only complaint was on the first order, took a week to ship it, had to call to find out WTF happened, got a song and dance about people out sick. Other orders were at my door in 5 days UPS ground. Better than some worse than others, all in all about average for customer service. Daves got it right, OOW has the best customer service, with Numrich (e-gunparts) next.

Late last year, I got a few friends together and bought as new, 6 AR-15 kits for $399.95 each and they arrived in a week all in as described shape to different address. No complaints on that order; but, I have seen where they want to sell Polish RPD kits in as new shape with the cut up receiver for $400.00. I am really skittish about this new deal though, as too many people on different gunboards say steer clear of Sarco........

....says SARCO....

Well,guys.....I feel your pain....really. Talked to a couple of the people at the SARCO booth at the Shot Show Sat. I complained about the same things.... poor service,wrong/incomplete parts, etc. etc. Both people had the same answer.....the help is untrained, young and it is difficult to find those who are willing to work who are not drunks or druggies. It takes time and experience to train people to identify and distinguish between parts and types of guns. Remember....we've been at this for years....several decades for guys like me. The young people they have (turn-over is very bad for them) haven't got the time to be trained. Its a catch-22 situation....young,no skills,no fire arms skills or knowledge, etc. Then when they are getting pretty good at picking parts....they leave for a better paying job. SARCO has to start all over and train another young person. This is not unusual for todays market.....almost every mfg. or co. has the same problems......

I've had mixed results in dealing w/Sarco. They always seem to make it right but its a pita to go through the ordeal again. I usually talk to MG Dave and this usually takes care of the problems. Trying to find anyone at Numrich that knows anything is tough also. They have knowledgeable people there but it seems like you never get to talk to them. Wished I lived near CMP, Numrich or Sarco. That would make for a great part time job. I would trade pay for parts and do some major cherry picking.

The Items I have received from Sarco are Great...

Too bad you had such bad luck.... all of the items I have received in the past are always better than expected... usually I do "Special Orders" where Machinegun Dave has quoted me a price for some oddball item that no one in their right mind would want or ask for except for me.

I have to admit.... I have had to S-P-E-L-L some of the items I had ordered to some of the kids so I made sure they understood what I was ordering but you get that with any business.
