Can someone tell me the difference between these top covers. The demilled one looks different in the feed slide area. Both are suppose to be for the 50 cal BMG. The perfect one is an M3. But I do not know what the other one it.

The top demilled cover is from a m2hb and the bottom cover is from the m3

they use all different parts except for the release lever assy thats in the back that is the same all other parts are not interchangeable. Even the extractor spring is different. supposedly the M3 can feed better but the M2 is more original for a ground gun. top cover M3 parts are harder to find where as the M2 are relatively easier to find.

Just my luck

I have a cover that is tough to find parts for ......and no cover that the parts are easy to find. But as an assembly they function the same???? The rest of he gun will be an M2HB.

yes either a M2 or M3 top cover will work on M2, operation/function is the same

Part drawings

So where can I find an exploded parts view and parts list for the M2 vs the M3 top cover?

This way I can see what parts I need for the different covers.
