Im now playing the waiting game. My plate should arrive by the end of next week. In the mean time Ive been cleaning parts and trying to identify what I should replace. Lord knows when the last time my 1919 ran. Should I save myself the hassle and purchase new parts that are associated with feeding and ejecting? I'm very familiar with our current inventory machine guns. ANYTHING out of spec on the top covers or anything else related to feeding and ejecting can have a huge affect on how well the gun runs. Should I just spend the extra $100 or so and purchase new top cover parts etc?

If you want a safety net, I guess yes go ahead. At some point you may need some of the parts depending on how hard you use your gun or just bad luck. I've always been of the mindset if it ain't broke don't fix it - else I'd end up with a basement full of spare parts.

Oh - wait a minute...........I DO have a basement full of spare parts!

So much for my logic....
