It went up there to look for water ice ,it found what looked like ice.
It dumps frozen dirt on a fine screen over a hot oven ,look at the pics of it sitting there ,looks like Mud.
Duhh ,mud doesn't let you get fine particles through a screen.

Doesn't look like mud to me, it looks like well graded soil particles. Who knows why it won't fall through the screen, maybe the shaker isn't working or the soils are magnetic or who knows??

Personally if it never sends back a lick of data I'm still amazed.
Some guys built this rocket, and then they lit the fuse and sent it into the sky. It landed a couple a bunchs of millions of miles away on this other planet, and now it's sending us pictures of where it landed, in tact.
If that's not impressive I don't know what is.

Well the mud thing has come up ,with it sitting in there it has rounded edges instead of being flat. The Press asked this and NASA didn't deny it ,but did say the oven comes on when the screen is shaking and the doors are open.
They have been seeing what looks like ice everywhere ,so they scoop up some ice in the dirt and stick it over an oven ,,Mud.

seems to me they always have some kind of problem with landing rovers on mars.... I wish they would just get their stuff together and send some people there.... NASA plans stuff way to far ahead... I think its like 2040 is the slated plan to put a man on mars.. cmon, thats not progress, Glaciers move faster than that and we have alot of space to explore.. Lets get back to the moon too and get that thing colonized.... I dont mean to sound antiwar because im not... but if they spent the money on space exploration that is being spent on the war, we would be far ahead of where we are now... just A few hundred years ago man set out to explore earth and in doing so it advanced our society greatly.. I think its time to keep going...

You are right GS ,Rush was saying that yesterday. In the 60s NASA was a word for great national pride ,and Hope.
Now it seems all we do is sit down here and fight among ourselves.
The dark ages set human advancement back 500 years ,it looks like we are making the same mistake again.
If there are any UFOs ,or we are being visited by beings from another world ,it is a joy ride for them to come and see an intelligent species act stupid,and they are laughing there butts off.
