Just thumbed thru page for page an advanced signed copy of Dolf Goldsmith's The Browning Machine Gun Volume III "Supporting the Rifle Caliber Brownings" or what I call the "Accessory book" which I got from Rick Shab at BMG Parts.

OMG! This book is just full of "stuff" that you'll to have to go with your prize 1917 WC, 1919A4 or M37.

Right from the inside cover (complete breakdown & Tech spec. of the 1917A1) to the back cover which does the same for the 1919 A4 and everything in between was so dog-gone interesting that I found it hard to put down.

In many ways I enjoyed this book much better than Books 1 & 2. 488 pages with 766 illustrations covering just about everything that goes "in, around, or on" the belt fed Brownings.

Rick at BMG Parts is offering author signed books to forum members at a discount with all proceeds going to Mr. Goldsmith. Get yours today and tell Rick "Twisted sent you."

Hasn't anyone else got one yet?

I'd write more details about the book but I wouldn't want to give away the plot.

The information in Dolf's new book (book III) is a must have for anyone interested in the 1919/1917/1928 Browning. This one is the "meat and potato's" not much history but the real stuff people want to read about.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I sent a money order to Dolf for the new book. I cant wait to see all the neat stuff I have to look for now! Does the new book show how all the spare parts fit into the wooden spares box? That is one puzzle I could never figure out. Never was much good with the round peg and square hole thing in kindergarten!

Rick is cool...but man, oh man, his stuff is EXPENSIVE. Northridge Int. sells a some of the same parts but is a lot cheaper. He does have some really hard to find items though, like some of his canvas tool cases, etc.

Dolf and Rick are very good friends and I know Rick contrubuted many photos to the book. Buy the book from Dolf or Rick it's all the same just buy it.

I just want to say I've spent thousands of dollors with BMG Parts and yes you might have to spend a few extra dollars to get primo parts but Rick is in the business of going out there and actively looking for these parts. He may have to outlay more dollars to buy whole lots just to get what he really wants and can sell. It's a business, not a pasttime with Rick. Businesses survive on profit If you want the parts buy them,If you don't move on. I for one would like a parts guy around when I need something!

BTW I've bought from the valley guy and found them high but bought anyway because I wanted the parts.

The bottom line is All these parts are getting scarce and there are very few "NEW" parts are being produced. So get whatever you can at any price.

I was still looking and reading last night, or it was really this morning at 12:30 AM. This book has been the most interesting to me. The 1st book is very useful, the 2nd interesting, but the 3rd about all the extras are things that I really like.

I'm waiting on book 3 now. I know the first two are priceless in information and photos, and I can only imagine how useful book 3 will be! I'm sure the wife will be just THRILLED that I'll spend more time reading and re-reading it like the first 2. :D
