In western Wisconsin the last ones I've seen are from $300-500 depending on condition. The last ones released had damaged stocks that were repaired by application of a black plastic like finish, and these are at the low end of the price range. In case you did not notice they are LOUD and also crush the casing when ejecting it. The gas feed is adjustable to help with cycling different ammunition. I've had some ammunitioin that if you did not adjust the gas it was ripping off the case rim.
These are actually a copy of the Swedish rifle, with slight changes when the Swedes had a partnership after WWII with the Eygptions. You may look for one of these as an alternative. The downside is they are another $100-200 more and there is no cheap ammo. The upside is 6.5x55 is now common here, the rifles were not used with corrosive ammunition so the bores are better, and there are some parts available. It must have been amusing to have blue eyed blond haired Swedish engineers working in warm sunny Eygpt.
The following link has a tutorial on the Hakim and many other common military firearms.

Also there is a small gun show in Barron, WI this weekend I'll check and post if I see one there.
