That was quite awhile ago, no? I thought we went through this before and already hung her....

Did it happen again?

Eau Claire, WI Eau

We had an officer leave firearm and duty belt in the court house restroom here recently. Honest citizen turned it in. Of course no charge of wreckless endangerment made. Double standards? Yes, but also remember we the common people are also given "just a warning" at times when charges could be made. For example I know someone that hit close to 100 mph going downhill on the interstate and the officer in an un-marked squad gave him only a warning ticket. His thought was "a lesson learned" was better than a ticket and heavy fine.

Couple of months ago, rookie leaves G-21 in local courthouse bathroom, attorney finds it 30 mins later and has a fit, as does the left-leaning media, already screeching "someone wanted to shoot up courtroom or assist felony escape". They trace pistol to rightful owner (a total "Fife" and only hired because he's CLEO's cousin) who's still on the force, they tried to hide the facts, too late. Some animals are more equal than others.

What would happen, if a concealed carry permit holder accidently left his firearm in a public bathroom? especially an airport bathroom. That person would be SCREWED, Royally!!!! Huge double standard. An idiot like that dosen't deserve to be able to carry a gun!
If a child would have found it, then what would have happend?

I gotta tell ya, if I found a gun in the public restroom ANYWHERE, it'd be VERY public. I'd call the local news station THEN the local Police. No way I'd let that opportunity slide!!!!

Above someone talked about warnings.
I and members of my family have been stopped over the last thirty years for various infractions. Warnings? No, tickets yes.
DOuble standard.

And as Dave said, it would be real public If I found a gun in a restrooom.
