The FN30s will take a standard 1919 barrel so 8mm and 30-06 should not be that hard to convert over to. The cartridge stops are just too rare to cut up so that will be the hard part. Maybe someone will offer 8mm and 30-06 front and rear stops once these guns start getting more popular.
Most of the FN30 kits going around now are Israeli contract guns made in the mid 50's and are chambered for 7.62x51 NATO (.308) and can take belts or links.
most (if not all) of these parts kits sold out 4 years ago. Only one person (that i'm aware of) got a semi conversion (also over four years ago) and was not able to produce any plates for sale. now with all the crap going down about 80% plates, I doubt any will ever be produced. i'm not so sure they will ever get popular
glockhead has it right, you will need to be able to make your own parts (even the .200 dia. rivets) and the semi conversion is based on a M2HB trigger bar design like Tom T's. Unless you have the tools and time it will be a challenge to assemble.
Halo has a conversion and did a run of plates. he gave up on it because of lack of interest. that is what I used for my build.
I converted my gun to 3006 and am working on getting it to run links. If there is enough interest I can get front ctg stops made.
