I'm searching for a Fn30/52 tripod. Will a tripod for a 1919 work? At least until I can locate an original Fn tripod.

I used a 1919 tripod for my FN30 when I first acquired the firearm. I can send you a pic of the FN tripod I found at show of shows if that will help. Dave
Careful when responding to ads for FN30 tripods, the MAG58 ones look real similar and are much more common.

I've been seeing a lot of the MAG58 tripods and was wondering if they would work. It appears that the front mount is quite a bit different. Thank you for the response.

The Mag58 tripods can work with a simple set of adapters.
Well..... I'm still looking for a FN30 tripod. But in the meantime I purchased a 1919 tripod. It just so happened to come with a 1919.

I have an original FN30 ground pod that I used to use for my 1919. I hadn't really thought of selling it, but could possibly be talked into it as I haven't used it for like 5 years now. Just taking up room in the corner of my gun room. What are these going for nowadays?

I paid 850 for the one above, only one I’ve seen in years.

I'm not sure what they sell for, I can't even find one for sale too compare it with. If you're interested in selling shoot me an email. [email protected]
Thank you.
There are two FN-30 tripods, the most common is the Crab looking one with adjustable rear legs. These are favored by the guys who like to sit behind a tripod on a chair.

The second is the one shown above, it has fixed rear legs and is known as the Israeli FN-30 tripod. It sits lower to the ground like the M1919A4 M2 tripod.

When I got my FN-30 it came with Crab one (which I did not like). Eventually I found the short legged Israeli one and I sold my Crab like tripod to a fellow board member. The Israeli short legged tripods are much harder to find and I think are more suited to combat condition (IMHO).

These FN-30 tripods generally sell for $500 - $750 depending on condition in the past. You can search the forum for pricing. The one shown above has all of it's mounting pins and is in beautiful condition. I wish mine was as pretty.
