FS: C96 Broomhandle Mauser frame and upper/barrel. DROPPED to $200
Gents, please read the ENTIRE POST.
Price dropped to 200 bucks.
This C96 was a test bed for rust bluing techniques for me. Im now looking to sell it. It IS NOT intended to be assembled into a firing gun without SIGNIFICANT work. Heres some of the known issues:
1) The BBL was bored out. It is now smooth and somewhere in the 9MM range. I DO NOT think there is enough material left to sleeve.
2) The frame had a dime sized hole drilled in it on the right side just below the Mauser banner. Im convinced that someone was trying to do a 'Star Wars' 'Han Solo' conversion with this gun. I welded it up as best I could and milled it down to look somewhat acceptable. Right now it just looks like there is some rust pitting, but its really from my welding. (Look, all I own is a Hazard freight flux core welder, gimme a break ok!)
3) The stud for the metal loop on the handle has been cut away.
4) Upper and lower ARE NOT MATCHING.
Now that I have all the negatives out of the way...as you can see its got a nice refinish on it. The gun has been freshly rust blued and has a great antique look to it. WIth a few extra parts it would make a hell of a wall hanger.
Gun MUST ship to a FFL (no C&R, Im sorry, but you know its not eligible in its current state. Please dont ask me to bend the rules for you.)
Asking $200 shipped CONUS. Prefer MO or check. (Members with less than 25 posts will have checks held to clear)
