My garand has started kicking the enblock and two live rounds out at the 6th shot. It will cycle those first 5 fine. Upon ejecting #6 the last two and clip fly out.
I am not a garand expert, but do have the ability to strip it down for cleaning. I am taking the "research" method before I try to diagnose it myself. Does anyone have a suggestion?

Yes, the spring underneath the clip ejector on the offhand side of the receiver. Maybe even the release is worn. I replaced both on a few rifles over the years. J

If the gun worked before and nothings been changed most times it's that spring . The arm on the latch can get worn , chipped , broken .
If you are using a new batch of clips , however , they may have a heavy park coating buildup that keeps the latch from getting a good bite . A night in a tumbler can clear that up .
Some other parts that have worn can cause this , too , but these three will fix 98% of the cases . If it continues , let us know and we'll dive deeper .
