Just wondering if there would be any interest in 30 cal tombstone drums? These are not going to happen over night and maybe it is not worth doing but I am open to your thoughts on the project. I kind of like the look of them myself even though they really never existed.

I hardly even saw the tombstone.... lots going on in that photo in the background. Wow on the gun on the pod.

You have an imagination like no other Toolman, and your one who follows through to make it a reality. If they are anything like the quality of your spade grips or azimuth rings you can count me in. Do you think you can design one to fit in the turret of my Ferret? :thinker:
If not, I will just have to mount another Browning on the exterior as well. I think I recognize that collection in the background, what a great picture with all the eye candy!!!

Thanks Captmax and yes that collection is quite nice and very complete as far as accessories and tools for the Browning's. It is not mine I was helping another board member this past weekend with some structural work and we thought it would be a good time to get a picture with my T13 and gauge interest in the tombstone project.

Sounds like there is a little interest so I will start working on numbers for these things and start a new thread when I figure out what the cost will be on them.

Nice display and collection by the way - a photo tour of the rest of your collection would be in order sometime I would say.

how would you plan to attach it to the gun / mount ? the home made set up you have is nice but the drums would need to fit to the standard cradles somehow- probably the same type of slide in bracket that is used for the tombstone drums on the 50 cradles or a MK93 three point mount ? Perhaps the drum could be made and use adapter plates to various cradle assemblies ? I like the idea, and if you can get production numbers up it will bring unit cost down. That would be a cool device for other guns - ANM2, 1917A1 etc. Do you have a target capacity in mind? Drums built with belts AND links in mind?

The gun is mine but the collection belongs to a long time member here that does not post although someday I will have all my stuff displayed and share pictures I will leave it up to him to share the rest of his pictures. He has a very nice collection FWIW. The drums will be made to fit the standard adapter in the cradles so yes 30/50 combo, 1917A1 tripod and a few others and they should hold 300-400 rds. so they will be heavy fully loaded.
