At a local gun show this morning I picked up a 200 rd battlepack of German 7.62x51, and I'd like to find out folks' opinions about it. The battlepack and boxes are labeled

AB 22
20 PATRONE,
7,72 MM X 51, DM 111,
WEICHKERN

{plus-in-a-circle} {solid dot}

LOS DAG93G0368

The headstamp has the same plus-in-a-circle and DAG...

"Weichkern" translates to "soft core".

Anyone know anything about it: quality, when it was made, etc.

I have had German .308 in the past and it was excellent ammo. It is comparable to the Portugese .308 that we all covet. Good find!

Good stuff. From the lot #, it looks like it was made in '93.
