My wife and daughter had to take our Chinese foreign exchange student home yesterday, they dropped her off in Las Vegas to fly out,but before they did they took her up on the strip, everything is closed,it's pretty much a ghost town,if you have every been there during normal times you can see just how bad it is,usually the strip is bumper to bumper cars for most of it's length!
She did everything she could to stay until her original departure date but her mom wanted her home now! Considering she grew up in the heart of Beijing she adapted very well to a town of 1500!
I wonder how many people are going to be willing to fly into Las Vegas and stay there?
Its good that we now know contact surfaces are not how people catch COVID-19, but spending hours very close to people you don't know, that might take some getting used to again.
The strip was probably the cleanest it's ever been! I used to enjoy vegas but it got so crowded and dirty, but I used to enjoy Berkley as well, guess I'm getting old.
I used to love LV until it changed after 9 11, what really grinds my gears now is the handing out of those little pornographers cards. I saw families being overwhelmed by the touts and single digit aged kids being presented with packs of cards with naked women on them. I won’t be taking my family there.
There for a little while back about 20 years ago they tried to make it a family friendly place, the pirate show and the little amusement park behind the MGM,even the emerald forest in the MGM was cool, but they figured out that parents with kids aren't spending money in the casinos and that all went away!
Those creeps handy out cards get a very rude response from me while walking with my four girls, then there was the 300 pound nasty thing in a g string and pasties!
The thing that really ruined it was when they took the coins out of the slot machines,it just wasn't fun anymore.
