my opinion:
i have used or owned a few.
anzio
barrett 82 are the ones that i own/ed

both are great i have used a few of the ar15 uppers and honestly i would pass on them

for the price difference go with an all in one. the armalite ar50 is inexpensive.
the anzio is great for having a magazine and being pretty inexpensive.

for the uper you are going to spend about 2000$ for not much more than that you can get an ar50

issues i have with the uppers:
any of the ones that you haveto break open to put the next round in = booooo

what happens during a gun ban when your receiver is only marked for 223? no idea if that could or would make your 50 not good.

who wants parts guns that you swap stuff around on? (other than nfa of course)

but once you get a lower model 50.. all you really want is a barrett 82a1.

I would have to agree about the uppers being put on the AR lowers - they just don't balance out right, and the mag well is conspicuous.

However, I have the Ferret upper, and I also have the Ferret lower, and it is a match that would stand against any other maker as far as I'm concerned. Looks good, locks up tight, and is very functional. At least look at them if you are considering a 50 BMG rifle.....JMHO

Too true - but I agree..... it only takes a 100 rounds or so to put a big smile on ones face! "D

looks good from the pic, but would have to see that bolt head before id buy one....

if its a 2 cam head, its a good idea to pass on it.

one of the two oldest 50 designs in a single shot is State Arms and it has a 2 lug bolt and it will eat anything(most of it life it has been fed MG loads) it is built like a tank, mine is an M- series i have used for over 27 years , i have burned more barrels out than a would fill a pickup bed to the top and the springs collapsed and trashed more than a dumpster load of scopes (before scopes were made with long eye relief and able to stand up to the 500G+- loading)and in 27 years i have not replaced one part of the action/trigger Klause Horstkamp was the designer/builder and a close friend of mine until his death in 2000 ,if i needed any thing anywhere in the world he would ship it to me before he even recieved payment

to this very day State Arms/East Ridge still uses the two lug bolt as do the Very pricey BAT actions

my concern with the Bohicia is that the reciever is investment cast not milled out of a solid block like the SA and BAT actions

as for uppers ALS ,Ferret are superb(match grade) and the Ultra Mag 50 is good but it is not match grade

the ALS is a two lug bolt the Ferret is a 3 lug and so is the Ultra Mag ,Serbu,EDM,Anzio, ect.

there is nothing wrong with the two lug design
