wow that covers just about everything

you can still buy a suppressor but can have a threaded barrel to put it on legally, yeah that makes sense.

they better quit this ****, keep putting the same crap up for a vote over and over until they get what they want.

time for everyone to stand up and fight if you do not live in CA.

Guess for us that live here in CA we do not care about the bans going on outside of CA. Cause we can not have them anyway....

that statement above makes as much sense as you guys saying you do not care or will not sell something that is legal to someone in CA..

It's about time we all fight this no matter where we live....................................................................:eek:

I agree and no time like the present to start !

If every pro gun person in America voted Libertarian for Bob Barr he probably still would not win but I think it would make the powers that be stand up and take notice. At the least it would throw them off there game because next time we might win even more than we did in 94 and even Clinton new why they lost big time.

The problem with standing up and fighting is this, you couldn't muster more then 100 people!

People talk the talk but when it comes down to it, they don't have the fortitude that our founding fathers had to kick the Brits out of America. To many people are caught up in the "it's all about me" or "what's in it for me" attitude. Then you have to remember that gun owners are still divided, even though we still love shooting, there's to much indecision. Look at all the different types of shooters, some love AW's while others say they're the reason for bans. How many of you have heard other shooters say "what do you NEED that big of a gun for"?

I know that when the time comes and they call for a national ban with the police and military backing, 99% of gun owners will turn their guns in w/o thinking about it. The worst part is that there will be gun owners that will turn in other gun owners! Hell, I was called a paranoid gun nut (by a so called gun owner) for suggesting taking up arms against the government after Obama gets elected and has the UN come in to help disarm American citizens! Gun owners like this should turn their guns in now and buy an economy size jar of Vasoline!

Some times I wonder why I keep on shooting knowing these facts, I guess that my dream of Unintended Consequences coming true keeps me going. :D

oh yes we could...we could get plenty more than 100 folks...but, it will require an event that many are at and one that is at the focal point of our grievances.....imagin if the Joe Horn protesters here in Texas (many more than 100) were there protesting a gun ban but they were all armed.....now, lets say that one shot was fired at the enforcers...or vis versa....it wouldn't matter it would be another shot heard around the world...when word got out every town, every farmer, every house would be suspect, there would be no uniforms, there would be no flags....if i were a cop and actually submitted to such treason to supports such unjust "laws" :rolleyes:...i would turn in my badge that day.

you are right, most will not come out in the open.....but then, that is their greatest fear isn't it? :)

by far the worst thing we could do is get down over this....be of good cheer, its contagious. but...build your resolve

I am one who "hopes" that America will have the resolve to stand up when needed, but I also am a little pessimistic. I wonder how many brits were saying "molon labe" or "they can take my guns, one bullet at a time" etc... We seen how they all lined up to turn em in though.

Time to join a militia and time to sue the government for the right to have militias and the right to train with militias. IF every state, or if most states had actual legal militias, holding regular training in the open, the federal government would think long and hard before pushing bills like these in our faces. Reality is that currently, the federal government has absolutely nothing to fear from the people.

By "Chezh" did you mean to say "Czech"?

If so, I have to say you need a brush up on Czech History circa 1914-1991. As part Czech, and listening to stories of my great grandparents whom came to the US from that area, from my grandparents, and by studying Czech history, I have to say your statement is quite inaccurate.

While it would be nice if it were true, The Czech republic did not come into being by trying to become little copy of America.

Here's a short and sweet history lesson:

After WWI, the treaty of Versailles had reorganized Europe. Two separate countries and peoples (The Czechs, and Slovaks) were combined in Czechoslovakia. Both sides put up with the situation, and were mostly civil, but the Czechs looked down on the Slovaks and didn't care for 'em one bit.

Come WWII the Czechs were backed by the Soviets and fought Germany. When the area fell to the Germans, there were still organized gangs that would plan and execute attacks. I'm not going into all the details, but there was one high ranking and greatly feared SS officer that was called in to crush the Czech resistance. They blew up his escorted staff car, and killed most of the escort with suppressive fire.

Enter the Cold War, and the Czechs finally had enough of their communist oppressors, and there was an uprising in Prague to break off from behind the Iron Curtain. It took a full scale occupation of the soviet army to bring that to a halt… but it would only last until 1989.

While there are many similarities between the Czech Republic and the United States, the Czechs had a much longer and drawn out fight for freedom, liberty, and rights. Until just recently, all citizens were required to serve two years in the military, in where they are taught the English language.

Yes, what's happening here and now is of the most importance, yet history needs to be taught and examined, because those whom forget history, are doomed to repeat it.
Additionally, with the hindsight of history, anyone should be able to tell the massive flaw, and problems created by American Isolationism. It is failures to understand history such as supporting and encouraging American Isolationism that make Ron Paul out to be a nut job without a hope at the presidency.
