Loading cloth belts is not as easy as it might sound. Good luck with your loading:)
I am looking for someone willing to load 1 cloth belt for me for my gun room. Don't plan on shooting them just display. I have Izzy links for that. Preforably someone in the Fox Cities area of Wisconsin.

If you re-load or know someone that does,,, pull the bullet out of the ctg of your choice,, fire the primer,, drill out the flash hole and attach the ctg to a "T" handle,, tap the bullet back into the case and you have an Awl,, so to speak,, use this Awl by pushing into the belt loops,, spreading them,, you can then push the bullets into the belts in a twisting manner, and in ten or fifteen minutes will have a loaded belt. Its not the fastest method, but with a bit of elbow grease you will load a belt in a suprisingly short period of time, shorter I dare say than driving around looking for someone with a belt loader.

I normally use links, but have a few belts and have loaded them by using a bullet to spread the loops,, shove it in and twist, hold the belt on either side of the ctg, then press the base of the ctg against a flat surface and press into the loop. Belts are made for 30 06 and I have shoved Greek 06 ammo right into them easily.

dummy rounds

You should be able to find some one in your area that reloads, if he's on this board he will most likely have a bunch of emty brass that could easily have a projectile inserted with out having to worry about powder and primers, much safer for just displaying, till Ebay puled their last liberal brain fart I used to sell dummy 30-06 in garand clips, sold hundreds world wide. I've loaded thousands of rounds into both cloth belts and links by hand, do a little at a time while watching the boob tube and it goes pretty fast.

Will load for free....

Thank you,Rory for the kind words. I will load a 250 cloth belt for....FREE. You can Fed-Ex or UPS (can't send loaded ammo thru mail) your ammo and belt to me....Len's Gun Shop,Inc.,2402 S. Michigan St.,South Bend,IN-46614. This is a (1) per type deal and just send a check/MO with enough for shipping the completed belt back to you. Why am I offering this service....? I'm putting together brand new 1918 Browning Belt Filling machines and need to calibrate/adjust them before I sell them. And I'm getting tired of emptying cloth belts once I reload them....also don't have enough belts or ammo to keep 'em loaded. This is an open invitation for the 1919 members. Don't want to hijack this thread....so....moderator,.....please don't ban me from the site.....LOL.....
