I was wondering about the importance of the buffer in the back plate? How does it work? Can it be substituded With some other creation? Where I'm going with this is I want to install spade grips by making a new back plate specifically made to attach the spade grips. Is there a big spring, or washers behind the screw? What kind of preassure am I looking at to compesate? Any help will be appreciated.

The spade grips I bought from ORF?(I don't remember) have a white plastic cylinder in them like Corion. I have also never used them.
I recently bought new disc sets for my A4s and M2s in case they suddenly become made of "unobtainiun".
This is often an overlooked part of a build. They should be checked for deteriation/contamination and correct number of discs.
