so i sold some ammo on gunbroker. she actually helped me count out 1000 rounds for each of two lots!!!

then she helped me move a bunch of fence material in to the garage like 3 pallets worth of pickets!!! 900 pcs or so.

she even knew that i was using the money for more ammo!

holy wow my gun hating fiancee really did it today!!

Does not compute!! Why would a gun lover have a gun hater for a fiancee? Does she glare at guns in disgust,, or is it a roll the eyes at guns type of thing? The eye rollers don't really hate guns,, they know that they're a necessary evil in the world so they are willing to tollerate them. Especially if the one they love, loves them.

not really a hater was pretty ok with the idea and had shot before i came along... it was when she realized that i had enough to necessitate a room for them and then walked into the garage to see what looked like a pallet of ammo she kind of freaked out. like wanted to know why i kept enough stuff to arm small third world countries or why i needed to have enough stuff to form my own militia.

oh i forgot she helped me carry a bunch from the garage of the new house down in to the basement where i have built a nice 800 square foot room for "my stuff". she was carrying 50 cal cans with 500 rounds of 8mm in them! and smaller stuff too but she did it without one complaint and offered the help.

i am just not used to any woman offering to carry that much heavy stuff in one day that has nothing to do with them. pretty good stuff.

I lucked out out on mine, her dad was a gun guy and had run off a lot of others so my wife was worried he wouldn't like me, but we hit it off, it's always better if you actually like your in laws. But it's more important that she understands why you have enough guns and ammo to arm small countries, and she excepts you and your beliefs, sounds like you got a keeper Rory!

actually sold off some of the indian 208 that i had left, can you believe this, for 40 cents a round!!! i thought the stuff was ok and had no issues like others complained about but with all that bad press i still got 40 cents a round out of the stuff.

using that to pay for some more 8mm

My wife is one of those rare ones.

You never see me at the Creek or any machinegun shoot without her. It's just that she's very comfortable with the guns and other gunners. She knows almost all the names in the industry and they know her. I have an unlimited budget for my hobby and it has helped when laid off from Generous Motors. The gun hobby almost made as much money for us as her full time job at Aetna did for us.

She has designated one of my pre-samples as "her" gun and knows it inside and out and does all her own maintenance on it (the Walther MPL).

She reloads, and knows how to setup the Dillon, weigh charges, and select bullets, tumble brass etc.

She has entered MG competitions at our home gun club in Ct and won trophies at both ends, First Place-man on man, and the Horses Ass Trophy (dead last).

No way I'm losing this one. Hell, she evens mows the lawn and rakes the yard (2 acres).

thats one of the main reasons I moved back to the sticks, 15 years in the bay area I saw my share of zombie attacks, provided security for my apartment during some of them Berkeley is scarey when the power goes out.
