I just purchased a 1918 Browning Belt Loader. I would appreciate your expert input on how to modify it to load 7.62x51 (308) rounds. If you have suggestions, photo's, instructions, or parts that I could purchase to accomplish this please let me know.

You need a different pusher (the piece that actually pushes the round into the belt) and a spacer for the feed tower depending on the design. Various people have made them over the years, but hard to find today. A search will find lots on info

I suggest a post with “wanted to buy”. So many once common items now are not.
Maybe time for someone to do a small production run?

OR use disintegrating links with a plate loader. They work with ANY .30 cal ammo and also work of RPD belts as well.
