Ok so once all of you stop laughing, Ive got a question. How in the heck do you use the starter tab? Ive installed one on a belt of 100 rds 308 with the tab in between the double end. I can not get the darn thing to pull through with the cover down. Is there something Im missing? Does it only work when the bolt is to the rear?

When using starter tabs you nave to charge the bolt twice same for cloth belts.Once to move it to the xtract position and again to extract and load.The bolt is always to the rear when it feeds.J.R.

With the top cover closed, feed the tab in until the cartridge is in as far as it can go.
Hold the belt in place with your left thumb pushing in on the belt while cocking with the right hand.

Or, feed the tab in and hold it while reaching over the gun to cock with your left hand. ( NOT the safest method at all.)

Then cock it twice.

Or do it the right way and have a crew there to help.
